Cub Scout Uniforms

Uniforms

The uniform displays the Scout’s achievements and advancements and shows that they are part of our Pack.

Pack 284 provides neckerchiefs, slides and handbooks to all Scouts. Other uniform items are the responsibility of the family to acquire. Ask us about financial assistance if a uniform is a barrier to joining our pack.

Class “A” Uniforms

There are two types of uniforms:

“Class A” – Full uniform including dress shirt, pants, neckerchief, slide, belt and hat. The uniform displays the Scout’s achievements and advancements and shows that they are part of the Pack. The shirt and neckerchief should be worn to all Cub Scout meetings and events unless otherwise stated in the event invitation. Hats and socks are optional in our pack, but the belt is important because it is how your Cub displays their achievement loops.

“Class B” – Activity-appropriate shorts, pants, or skirt and any Cub Scout T-shirt. This can be a shirt from a BSA-sponsored Camp or activity, or any official BSA T-Shirt from the Scout Shop. Pack 284’s Class B uniform T-shirt, shown above, in adult and kid sizes, can be purchased from our pack using this website my.cheddarup.com/c/pack-284-class-b-uniform-tee-shirts. If you don’t have a Scout Tee yet, any solid color T-shirt is fine.
